Beulah Junior School is a community school some three miles north of Croydon Town Centre in a culturally and ethnically diverse community. There are currently 219 pupils on the roll. There is an infant school on an adjoining site which is the main feeder school.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and skilled applicant to join our two form entry school as a Teaching Assistant.  This position is suitable for someone who is positive, calm and able to help with basic skills. Experience of working with children with behavioral needs is desirable.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds a technical/professional qualification related to the role. E.g, NNEB or other relevant qualifications at level 2 or 3
  • Is qualified to GCSE level in English and Maths and is competent in IT
  • Has the ability to plan, and deliver specified work to individual pupils, groups and the whole class under the direction of a qualified teacher
  • Has skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils including those with SEND or those with other barriers to learning
  • Has high expectations of children’s achievement, progress and behaviour
  • Is a pro-active team member
  • Is able to build relationship with parents, staff and children
  • Will respect and maintain confidentiality
  • Is committed to promoting the ethos and values of the school
